My roofer has given me the option to go with either GAF Timberline 30, Tamko Heritage or IKO Cambridge 30 AR shingles. He's pushing the IKO Cambridge 30 saying they are the thickest, but my skepticism makes me think maybe they are just the cheapest.

Any sugeestions?

This is my first garden. I grew tomatoes, pumpkins, zucchini, squash, and eggplant. I want to replant everything in a different spot of the garden and add things to my garden.

Ever since we moved out in the country, I haven't been able to grow roses. I've tried everything from crushed egg shells to banana peels worked into the soil and that's not working. You can spend a lot of money on products and they won't work either. Just some kind of organic food should help to keep my poor roses alive!

Well we moved because the landlord was using our electric.
we had a huge farm house and a barn next door in our yard, the landlord said we didnt have access to the barn it was his.
well we had electric lines running from our house to his barn, and we had a meter on his house and I walked all around his barn and couldnt find a meter.

well i get my bill for that 1 month and it was 194.00 !!!! I called him and he said "well I only use the light in the barn every once in a while" OMG i was mad so we moved.

Now I want some money back on the bill and I want him to have to warn the next renters because that is just mean.

the electric company wont do anything they said ther eis nothing they can do

what do i do?

We are not convinced that adding more calcium to the soil will break it up and lower the pH - people keep telling us to add gypsum. We mulch mow thinking the added organic matter will decompose and help soften the soil. We have built up garden rows with boards, add peat yearly,& drip irrigate it. Still the water added to the garden is very hard and it seems efforts to lower the pH are lost by using well water. Our area is in a drought, so rain water is extremely limited. Extended overhead watering leaves a white scale on whatever.

I used some different products and nothig worked.

I used a bissell big green machine and it got the stain out but you can tell where I cleaned the rug. It is a bit darker in that one area then the rest of the carpet.

Does anyone know how I can get rid of this spot???

Thanks!

I recently moved into an older condo (1974), and i didn't know the whole property has plumbing issues. I want to petition the board to re-plumb the whole property but would like to know something about the cost before I start something that I would regret later (enormous special assessments)

the dimmer i just bought says (single pole/unipolar) when i took the old switch out there is 2 black wires 2 white wires and a red one. in the old switch which is still hooked up one black wire is capped off with a white wire and the other bla and whi wire are connected to the switch with the remaining red wire on the opposing side. the bare wire is simple enough which should go the green wire on the new dim switch. the new dim switch has only 2 black wires and a green one. do i have the right switch and if so how do i hook it up

Our new office is a large open space with 5 individual desks. It has high exposed ceilings with hardwood floors. Basically a large rectangle. Phone conversations sound like they are coming from the mens room - with echoing that can be heard even when holding the phone directly to onces mouth.

We've added some large office plants, lots of furniture, and even some small paintings but the echo is still terrible. Our next step would be to purchase a rug, but the cost is significant. What are some inexpensive ideas on how to reduce the echo?
