Where can I find one?.. Mine is about two inches long and it gets slightly fatter at the top, its got a kind of gash at the fat end too! Its not Phillips!

Oh, you need an Arkwright's all purpose self-tapping screw, the finest screws every made. Mind you, there a bit hard to come by nowadays due to the fact that Mr Hitler dropped a bloody great bomb on the factory in 1942. He were always a bit of a tearaway was that Hitler....

If you are looking for a screw (with that description) I think you may have to take your sample to a professional. This obviously isn't a run of the mill screw you're looking for.

Buddy, it isn't going to be easy to get you a screw with the example you have given.......don't give up tho' they always say there is a "tool" for every job.

Perhaps the professional might suggest a "slide mounting screw" or a "metric running mount screw".

try taking the one you have to your local hardware store and askin the assistant. It will give him something to do for a few minutes. he/she will be very gratefull i'm sure.
