Oh, you need an Arkwright's all purpose self-tapping screw, the finest screws every made. Mind you, there a bit hard to come by nowadays due to the fact that Mr Hitler dropped a bloody great bomb on the factory in 1942. He were always a bit of a tearaway was that Hitler....

If you are looking for a screw (with that description) I think you may have to take your sample to a professional. This obviously isn't a run of the mill screw you're looking for.
Buddy, it isn't going to be easy to get you a screw with the example you have given.......don't give up tho' they always say there is a "tool" for every job.
Perhaps the professional might suggest a "slide mounting screw" or a "metric running mount screw".
Good luck with your quest.

Not Home Depot.
Any small hardware store is good.
Home Depot supports and aids illegal aliens.
