Actually coffee grounds add some acidity to the soil. They are useful for rhododendrons, azaleas, blueberries, & pines/conifers. They also loosen compact (clay) soil, & help with some insect control. I put them around my hostas. Slugs don't like to crawl over them.

Coffee can be grown only in tropical countries. Check your position whether you are in the tropical belt. Wherever you can grow coffee, you can also grow cocoa and tea. Best of luck.

Outside of the little acidity that it has, I can't think of anything. But I did save
all of my grounds until I had a canfull and then casted around my garden.

The soil has to be very rich in nutrients, and the temperature has to be hot, coffee will not grow in a country that has cool temperatures, and rains every week!!

It never ceases to amaze me how many people dont understand the question they are answering.
They add acidity and organic material to the garden, and yes, slugs dont like them either.
