I recently moved into an older condo (1974), and i didn't know the whole property has plumbing issues. I want to petition the board to re-plumb the whole property but would like to know something about the cost before I start something that I would regret later (enormous special assessments)

Answers to prev Q's.
1 A. Yes concealed plumbing.

2. A. I’m not sure what this entails, from what I understand the lines leading to the buildings were replaced, it is just plumbing and fixtures (two valves for washer, then sinks and shower/tubs, toilets, & drainage, kitchen sink)

3. A. No each unit has its own electrical water heaters.

4. A. I’m not sure, probably whichever would be best for the continued maintenance of the owner’s units, also allowing for the sub-metering of the individual units.

As an estimator of a Seattle area Plumbing and Heating company, who bids on a lot of projects like this.
Expect to pay anywhere from $3,500.00 and up per unit for demo and plumbing, and $1,500.00 and up for patching and painting.

Get 3 estimates and go for the middle guy, if he the proper referrals and knows what hes doing.

More information is needed. 1. The existing plumbing are concealed plumbing. 2. You want both external and internal plumbing. 3. Is there any common boiler provided for circulating hot water. 4. Do you need to change the sanitary fittings(EWC, Urinal, Wash Basin all made in Porcelain China) and Pipe fittings
Chromimum Plated Bib cocks, concealed stop cocks, pillar taps, etc. On a rough estimate, each bathroom should cost of upward of US $ 600 plus.

Depending upon your geographic location and type of original construction...to renovate the plumbing in both 'kitchens and baths' for 250 units, your estimates will probably 'begin' at about $500.000
They will go 'up' from there....depending upon how much re-trofitting of the rough plumbing (everything inside the walls and or ceiling) needs to be done.
