Denim Blue accents!!!!!!!!! I have found that Walmart sells this blue speckled camp cooking gear, like coffee pots and pans!
I filled the coffee pots with Silk Sunflowers, and hung the pans on the wall along with washboards and a shelf made of pine with old bottles and I found some John Deere stuff that is cute.
Yard sales with cow and rooster things can go on the shelf too.
Mason Jars with colored stones and fake fruit.
I have used gardening tools and clay flower pots with and with out flowers for accents. You can either use the old white see
through curtains, or I used checked table cloth type curtains in shades of blue/white and yellow.
There are a lot of cute old chairs and tables at yard sales, hooked or braided rugs at yard sales or HOME GOODS if you can afford new country sheek! I love to poke about at second hand stores and yard sales, but if you are not that patient, well I am sure of my colors and accents, because I did it all ready, but there are plenty of places that sell reproductions for a price!
Most of all.......HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A bright yellow room can be toned down to look modern country funky with shades of blue and white. Try some floral patterns in shades of blue , a Little red, or green and muted yellows. Even some patchwork patterns are quite contemporary but still country. Put odd shapes into the room, vases with Bright floral bouquets, . Get some pictures in art styles that reflect your personality and also adds other color to the room that might flow with the patterns you choose. To break patterns you may want to add some solid large decorator pillows.

It sounds as if you have already done the paint? Try some nice blocky or chunky furniture in a white or pale wood shade. Go with dark green drapes and accents, like pillows and such if it is going to have a couch/sofa. Try a bold patterned rug in the centre, with reds, greens and yellows in it. Large green potplants with any kind of nice large flowers.

Country, as in western? Or country, as in garden? Makes a difference as to color scheme. Whatever the genre, furniture & accents can be found at flea markets and second-hand shops. Have fun and good luck.

I think I understand what you mean. My living room and bedroom are both in rustic western country.
I would suggest using bright colored bandanas, even making a curtain with them if you can sew. See if you can find the bright blue old time bottles at antique stores. You might be able to find a faux cow print rug, or make one with furry material.

I would put blue accents in the room, go to Better Homes and gardens .com and look at rooms by color they have a yellow room mixed with blue, it is great.

How about some big silk sunflowers, that come in various colors. they would break up the yellow color but still help to keep the room bright and cheery.
