Ever since we moved out in the country, I haven't been able to grow roses. I've tried everything from crushed egg shells to banana peels worked into the soil and that's not working. You can spend a lot of money on products and they won't work either. Just some kind of organic food should help to keep my poor roses alive!

How heavy is the soil?if it is too heavy and no drainage or clay like, then roses hate it and you need to make it sandier.
I have well drained sandy, or light loamy soil, easy to drain through, and lots of Iron in the soil, Real aged manure from cows, and vegetative mulch around the roses in the winter will all help.
BUT, do you have any specific complaints? Yellow leaves, brown flowers, black trunk stems near the ground? All of those things have specific answerer's, and I will accept your-mail through Yahoo to discuss those problems further

Bone meal and blood meal will really promote blooms. All the other lady said is true but I don't use a lot of mulch from the garden as it has bugs or diseases in it on my roses however I do agree that they need the mulch roses don't like to dry out unless they are dormant.
