I did laundry last night at a new laundry mat & I for got to add softener. When I was folding the clothes & putting them away, I noticed they were unusually hard. Is there a way to soften them up without having to wash them all over again?

Thanks

I will move to houston soon to start a job in Downtown Houston. Since I do not know much about the city, I wonder what would be a nice area to live. We are a young couple with a one-and-a-half year old son. So ideally, we would like to live close to areas for children's activities. A less-than-one-hour commute would be great. Thank you very much for your answer!

In Dallas-Texas area, I bought the house and have discovered quite a few cracks that have been patched up in the past, I think i even found a door that was sawed at the bottom!

Nothing was in the seller's disclosure :o( So i'm not sure what to think at this point.

Is there a good website with resources on this as well??

It sounds like a great job but I've been told it's a scam. I don't want to pay out up front.

I have a newly constructed basement (less than a year) which is being used for wine storage. Its too humid. I am adding ventilation and have treated the floor with a moisture barrier. Now I want to paint the floor.

We bought a house recently, it's about 30 years old. We never asked the previous owners how to use the heat, stupid yes I know! It has central air that was installed about 15 years ago, the vents are in the ceiling, duct work in the attic/crawlspace.
Now, the heat. There are thermostats in each room, but no convectors, only one in the foyer and one in a basement room. The appraisal says "radiant heat". We turned on the thermostat in the bathroom (on high) and still felt nothing. My husband checked the wires and it is drawing ampage for something! But what we have no idea. Also, our hot water heater is electric.
Can anyone tell me how this might work? What are we doing wrong?
