I work in a pet store and we always recommend a product called Nature's Miracle. It is made with enzymes that break down biological waste/fluids/etc. without discoloring the carpet. It will remove the stain and any residual odor. I also use it at home myself and it seems to work pretty well. My cat likes to throw up on our beige carpet alot.

use a carpet cleaner there are some on the market specifically for dog poo, get a plug in deodoriser that will get rid of the smell and keep your daughters door shut to stop any repeat accidents

I use the foam carpet cleaner and a scrub brush. It works great. Then spray a little Fabreeze.

Febreeze is an excellent item, sprayintocarpet, leave it and smells gone, as for stain, vanish oxy-action says its for clothes, but my mum mixes a solution and uses that sometimes
