Just moved here and I wondered if I could grow my favorite fruit from back home?

Where in San Diego ? Since the county covers a WIDE range of territory and weather conditions !!
A good idea might be to drive out to Julian... I recall that they grew apples out there and were famous for their apple pie !! Perhaps you might meet an apple grower there with local area tips !!
