I was told that there is a rubber paint that can be used on cement floors. We are painting the basement of a small building and would like the kids to be able to enjoy it while we are working this winter. Thank you.

I moved into a basement apartment at the beginning of September. The place isn't bad, but for some reason, the room I'm renting STINKS. I can't locate the source of the odor. I thought it was my pets, (I had pet rats and a hamster) but I haven't had them in over a week. I've aired out the room and cleaned EVERYTHING, but yet it still smells bad.

I can't quite describe the smell either... I've had 3 people come in and smell it for me, no one can determine what the smell is. I'm seriously frustrated and sick of the smell. I've tried Febreeze sprays, Renuzit Air Fresheners, Arm and Hammer fresheners.. and yet after a very short while the smell returns.

My roomates are complaining, I'M Complaining, and my land lords are determined to say the smell is my pets. (Which currently don't even live here!)

How can I get rid of the smell or locate the source? I'm frustrated to the point of crying. =/ Maybe I'll go live at my school.. ugh!

My hubby and I are lookin at pre-fabricated homes. The one we are lookin at has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is quite spacious. It doesnt look like a double-wide trailor.
I wonder if anyone lives in or knows somebody who lives in a modular, and what pors and cons there are to living in one of these houses.

Which are easiest? I have a heated room with good western exposure that I use only for storage. Of course a southern exposure would be better. Thanks all.

I am buying a brand new home. The builder ordered the wrong cabinets and refaced them. I have asked them them to rip out the refaced ones (Cherry Veneer over Oak), and replace them with the ones I ordered (Cherry). They won't budge. How concerned should I be about the quality/durability of what they are trying to give me. Will the life of refaced cabinets be the same as new ones??

I bought a hens and chicks plant over the summer and don't know what to do with them over the winter. Should I cut the plant down to the root over the winter or can it safely be brought indoors. I looked through quite a few of my mothers gardening books and found nothing, please help. I love the plant and really don't want to accidently kill it. Thanks.

They are just like fang marks, usually on my legs, two large red spots. I change our bed very often, am very houseproud, clean. What could this be. I`ll have a dicky fit if it is spiders. Do you have any ideas?

I've heard that this is useful in chasing gophers away without harming them.

My Mum's friend is plagued by slugs. When she gets up in a morning she usually finds one or two in her kitchen and silvery trails everywhere. She is quite elderly and finds this quite distressing. Her house is secure as far as them coming under outside doorways etc. but her house is quite damp. So where are they hiding? She keeps putting salt down but it's having no effect. What's the best way to flush them out? I would like to get rid of them humanely if possible but anything that will get rid of them will be considered.
