I have noticed that people have been putting up these decorations, usually on their porch, not in patriotic colors.

Lone Star State....symbol of TEXAS!!!If there a circle around the star otherwise could just be a decoration

Not real sure what you saying. But, Texas, Jewish or Pagan/Satanic. Depends on the number of points on the Star and the direction it points.

It may be the star showing they have a member of their family in the armed services. This was big during WWII.
