First turn on the system and set the thermostat to your desired temperature. Get a thermometer and put in the vent, allow the system to run 15 minutes to allow it to reach the desired set temperature. The thermometer should read 10 to 15 degrees above the desired temperature to be working correctly. The higher degrees are normal to allow for heat dissipation as it mixes with the cooler air of the room.
