Approx. 2yrs ago my neighbor did some tree trimming to her tree and now wants me to pay for 1/2 the cost, since some of the limbs were hanging on my side of the fence. Please advise where I can refer to for this information.

I have pictures of family on the wall and a iron art thingy. What kinds of plant could you suggest that doesn't need too much tending to?

I was just wondering if there were any new types of flooring out there other than carpet or linoleum, that would work well in a dining area with chairs that have casters. Our carpet is getting bad and I would need something that doesn't make a lot of noise and wouldn't get damaged from the casters.

I decided to get a water meter as I was fed up of paying large water bills. I live in a studio flat in the UK and pay nearly £30 a month.. my mother lives in the same road in a four bedroom detached house and pays the same as I do! Apparently my water bill goes on the usage of the whole apartment block and not just my flat.
Anyway I applied for a water meter and they are fitting it this week.. but I'm beginning to wonder will I have to have like one bath a week now and wash my clothes only once a week and only wash the dishes like twice a day in order to avoid having huge bills. I don't mind economising but I don't want to feel as if I can hardly use any water just to keep my bills down.. Have I made a mistake? Anyone got any experience of these meters?

My house is sitting on concrete blocks, and over the course of a couple of years has become uneven. This is evident by the cracks on the walls and because doors and windows no longer close correctly. I'm going to do the job on my own and don't have many tools to work with. I'd like to know how to do it in an accurate way.

When I reassembled the handle (a one handle Moen, not sure how old it is) it will not push the valve stem down far enough to stop the water flow. What was a washer replacement job is turning into a horrow show. any advice?

I hate the stripes you get from a paint brush. I want to paint using a small foam roller that I got from the dollar store. Will that do a good job and get into the carved details in the wood? Do you have a better recommendation, besides spraying it? Would a smaller width paint roller be better? We are painting the molding before installing it.
