Approx. 2yrs ago my neighbor did some tree trimming to her tree and now wants me to pay for 1/2 the cost, since some of the limbs were hanging on my side of the fence. Please advise where I can refer to for this information.

Please tell your neighbor to get a CLUE! Tell her if she had not been so RUDE she would have kept her tree out of your yard from the beginning. State that if you had wanted that type of tree in your yard, you would have planted your own.
"Let me guess, she planted it right on the property line?"
It belongs to her 100%, MAINTENANCE and ALL!

No way. If the tree is on her property, she's 100% responsible for it.

If he wanted some money from you for doing this, he should have spoken to you about it up front, so you could agree to what was going to be done. If he just did or had the work done and now has decided to try to hit you up for the costs, I'd tell him to go f*** himself.

you mean statute. i don't think she has any kind of case. i don't think it matters where the branches were if the tree was on her property.
