I'm still researching hemp, trying to get a license to grow a crop in Canada. Does anyone know about growing it in the north, and how you eventually make it into rope and clothes?

I have a god aweful spider problem and these suckers are HUGE. When I look out my kitchen window I can literally see 7 in a nest that are almost as big as my hand. I looked them up online and I think they are what is called a garden spider (black and yellow with a hard shell inch long body)

I dont want to knock them down because Im afraid they will come inside.

I heard you can put sulfur or something like that around the edges of your house and keeps insects out. Is that true?

How does keeping a jug/bag full of water over your front door keep flies away? It somehow works, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. (Nothing to do in jail but ponder dumb things)

do those plug-in, sonic-wave rodent and bug machines work? Sunbeam makes one; I'm not sure if there are others. My office has the reputation of having a spider and waterbug problem, and I've seen roaches occasionally. I'd like a non-chemical way to deter them. Has anyone had success with these machines? Are they safe around dogs and cats? Thanks.

My crystal glasses have a cloudy stain, or residue inside of them. I have tried a bleach and water solution, also have tried baking soda and water--I cannot get the glasses to become clear. Can anyone help?

Wasn't sure if all you had to do was wait for the seeds to dry out... Do you bake them at all? Are they naturally salty?
