The correct answer is, it depends on a number of variables. If you are not in a normally mouse-prone area and you got rid of the entire mouse "family" and have taken reasonable steps to prevent their return, you should be ok for the most part. If you live out in the country where there are a lot of field mice, expect some attempted visitors in the fall when the temps start to decline. All I can advise is to try to seal up points of entry as best you can, and place bait in areas most likely to see activity (garage, shed, etc.), clean up or reorganize areas where they can potentially hide or nest, and consider investing in a couple of those plug-in electronic pest repellers.

I myself had a mouse problem this past winter but with some perseverance I got rid of them...snap traps and glue traps got the job done. 4 measly little mice. And since I plugged in the electronic repellers I haven't seen one since.

Hope this helped.

It depends on one of three things, the change in the weather outside, how clean you keep your house and if you have leaking pipes because they are attracted to water. If they are field mice then nine times out of ten they will be back in the winter. If your house isn't clean then more than likely you will see them escapading around your home, and last if you have a boosted pipe that constantly leaks you will definitely see them again. So best advice if you like cats get one to be on the safe side.

the principle with mice populations is very similar to that of roaches, if you see one, then there are probably a couple more hidden somewhere... unless you rat posion the entire house, otherwise getting rid of one with a mouse trap isn't gonna do all that much in terms of elmination the chance they will return.

Chances are they will return. They have found a way to get in, unless you find the opening(s) and seal them they will return. Cats, poison and traps won't solve your problem. You need to get to the source of the problem and find out how they are getting in!
Good Luck!

Oh they will return again, over and over. I have had mice in my cabin and in the RV---I have been using fabric sheets scattered all over in both places and it works !!! The mice hate the smell---you could at least try it...good luck !!!

It is 90% chance they will return again because they might have babbies and more and more will show up. You need 2 get pest control asap to kill them all.

Depends on if you make them feel welcome to return...keep the guest bed made up, leave their little toothbrushes in the medicine cabinet and most importantly, always, always keep cheese in the fridge!!!
