periwinkle is really pretty and with white it looks very calming and almost like a spa... plus its easy to mix other colors like pink and yellow!

Dove Grey and little Rose Scented and colored soaps. Buy two shower curtains. One translucent and the other a lace one with complementary colors to the grey and rose. You get two set of hangers and then you just alternate, a hook for the lace a hook for the translucent, a hook for the lace, etc. Go to the dollar store and look for some of the little prints that aren't by anyone famous. I say grey cause it hides dust well and rinses clean in a flash. You know what to do from there. Guest towels to match color pattern, a candle for the back of the toilet with a little mat under it. Please for the men out there, not one of these little rugs on the lid. You could spray paint a stencil on it or just leave it plain. A nice fuzzy rug to step out of the bath to towel off. I could spend all your money in one hour and work on it forever. My house is always a work in progress. Good luck!

A lotta great color suggestions here...I think any would go well, but it ultimately depends on the space. If the bathroom is small, you don't want to go too dark or cool, as that will make your guests feel like they got stuck in a corner. you'd want to look for lighter, airier colors to expand the space. On the other hand, if the space is big, bring it in a little with darker colors or bold patterns (like the B&W stripes).

If your doing blue, do a robins egg blue with a chocolate brown or taupe accent. But as someone else mentioned, it's best to pick your towels, shower curtain etc. then take a color from them for the walls.

Lavander is light and airy without being too much color. Lots of white accents and silver along with a bright white shower curtain will make it look fresh and clean. You can also incorperate sage green or mint to add a puch even black would look sharp.

Picking a brighter color always livens up the room. Try yellow, light blue or green. If you need ideas, you can always browse the paint catalogs since they help you visualize the room better.

Paint the walls an eggplant purple and find a shower curtain that has the purple and sage green in it. Use sage green rugs and towels. Use chrome or brushed nickel accent pieces.

For the art. Find black and white pictures

Warm gray with stainless steel fixtures...to tall industrial.
Lime green with a monkey/jungle theme?
Soft Heather with a naturalistic theme?

Stay away from marine/tropical...that's so 1980's and kinda creepy.

Darker Navy and wheat is good...like that one above said...nice bright white batenburg lace (not that frilly stuff...the bolder kind) looks really good against Navy blue.

My brother just re-did his bathroom in a warm red/brick with bright white accents, brushed stainless steel fixtures and light oak...
I thought it would look awful...but I was pleasantly surprised...it really looks great!! And the wall color really warms up complexions...make everyone look good!!

I went with creamsicle orange. It looks awesome with chrome fixtures and a white shower curtain. I also put dark blue shower curtain liner and towels. I hated it at first, but then we added the extras and now I love it. People have commented on how great it is!

if you want something a little different than ordinary do a different shade of blue... and get towels and tapestries that are a good accent color like lime green or coral or sand/tan, or maybe even a light yellow...

another color scheme that would be fabulous is light brown and baby blue... think about it!!!
