It's 83 degrees in my house, and my dad refuses to turn on the air. I've tried opening all the windows at night, and then closing them in the morning, but it doesn't cool down in the house. What can I do to make it cooler?

I had hoses blowing off the discharge side of my above ground pool. Brand new pump with DE filter system. Starts off at 10psi with new earth but quickly creeps up to 18 and up. Hoses stopped blowing off when I removed the eyeball at the discharge port going back into the pool but still looking at about 20psi after very little run time. Someone said that its possible that the manifold grids in the filter housing could be collapsed which may create a restriction? What components CAN cause a restriction?Idunno. All new stuff. I give. ANY Ideas are welcomed!! Tank You!

I would like to take in my blue jeans about a size or too. Im very petite and none of my jeans are small enough and the stores dont have my size. Id have to get costome made jeans but it would be much easier/cheaper if i could do it myself. Especially considering i have a sewing machine, plenty of time and i love to sew. Ive been sewing since i was 14 but ive never attempted a project like this so even some helpful tips would be nice.

I know it sounds like a nutty idea, but it's what I want, both for non-slippage and decorative reasons.
I also know that it may not last years and years, but I don't mind reapplying. Also, I would prefer serious answers.... sure, I know it's funny to tell me to use Elmer's glue, but I need a real answer. Thanks to all who take the time to answer!!

What about if you live in a Manufactured Home? It is tied down like a trailer, so what winds speeds effect the mobile homes? I saw someone had listed the wind speeds and what they do, so I was wondering if you knew for mobile homes/manufactured homes? Pretty much the same.
I just moved in here and have had storm after storm, and it worries me.

I mean, some people are like 'oh man, it's time to clean the house again' when the time rolls around, and some people are like 'Awesome! I get to clean the house today! I am so looking forward to doing this!'. What is up with that? Really? I despise all housework except for cooking and organizing. I really hate cleaning up and vacuuming, sweeping, and dusting of any kind. Mopping is okay and so is watering the plants but as for anything else I practicly run away when the dirt and grime become visible and I can't see the floor anymore. But that doesn't mean I don't do the housework. I would just like to know your opinions on housework and any suggestions as to why people love to clean the house. CarCar:)
