Your local building supply store (such as Home Depot or Lowe's) sells the part very inexpensively. There is a plastic nut that holds the handle securely to the tank, which you would remove and take to the store to make sure you get the correct part. Good luck - you can do it!

Most hardware stores sell extra flappers and also more complete repair kits for toilets.
Otherwise if you really dont know what your doing I would suggest you call the local plumber to come fix it.

Go to your local hardware store...

The plastic ones always break, you should find a brass loop to replace the plastic bit...

Happened to 2 of my toilets too!! The plastic just gets old, make sure you replace with the brass/stainless steel bracket.

Replace the flapper or the handle, whichever is broken. Those parts are cheap.

Go to Home Depot or Lowe's or the hardware or plumbing store and buy a whole new assembly. They are easy to install.
