While walking my dog I've noticed a orange plant growing on top of several bushes. This plant grows in long strings and seems to be choking the bush. Can anyone help me with identification?

This is definitely dodder, a plant parasite. It lives by sucking the juice out of other plants. I think it is kind of neat, but I'm sure the plants think of it in the same way that we think of mosquitos and ticks, etc.

Without really seeing this plant I am going to take a stab at DODDER. Dodder is a parasitic plant that is similar to mistletoe. It needs another plant to feed from. It will look like it does not even connect to the soil. I myself would gather it all up and off my plant. I am not sure if there is a chemical to get rid of it but taking it off would be a great start. I would sent it to the trash or burn it up. I have only seen it once on a plant while in a State park and it drove me nuts till I found out what it was. I am sure you if put dodder into your search engine it will give you way more info. then I can.
