Killer deal on a Mitsubishi Mr Slim Air Conditioner (18K BTU) in the box...but I have a mobile home with a (100 amp) 110v circuit at the drop. Is it possible to change the existing wiring to use the 220v A/C?

bathroom. I want to take it out and put in a wall mounted (probubly between the studs type or surface mount?) electric heat wall unit. What is the conversion rate from 3 Amps to wattage? Most of these small bath designed units are rate about 1500 watts. Can I replace the baseboard unit with ...what size wattage unit without compromising my breaker rating (15/30 Amp)?; There are two other 6 amp baseboard heaters on that circuit AND the breaker configuration is a "split unit" set up for 220 for more effecient draw/use. Two 15 amp breakers with their switches "tied/bolted" together so they break simultaineously in overload. Hope I'm making myself clear here. Whatever thoughts would be appreciated.

We have a 2600 sq ft house. Has anyone else received an electric bill this month for this amount? We keep our thermostat on around 78 and use ceiling fans. What are we doing wrong? Is it the higher rate? Last month it was around $350.00.

The smell is from stuff left in the machine not the clothes. The machine works well. I have been trying to clean the nooks and crannies with a screwdriver but it still smells.

quite a bit of moisture in the soil. So much so that the surface of the earth under the house grows a kind of non dangerous mildew. (In this neighborhood, the ground water is quite high during wet weather). I have installed a sump pump and in the wettest of weather it pumps out lots of water but I'm wondering if someone out there knows of other solutions. I've thought of covering the ground under the house with a plastic tarp material. Are there fans for this sort of thing to help the ground dry out? Any other thoughts/solutions would be mucho appreciated!

My daughter is so messy when it comes to eating. She is always getting ketchup on her clothes and I don't want her to ruin all of her new school clothes. I am a stain freak and I can't stand to see her clothes ruined. I wonder if I can use Scotch Guard on them and if so how often should I spray them? Are there any other products I can use to repell stains?

how can i keep my apartment cool?i live on the top floor, during the morning hours its nice and comfortable. but once it gets to be about 2 or 3 the temperature rises, FAST, it can get to be around 90 easily in here. we have fans in the main room, our daughters room, and our room. but they don't seem to help much. and it doesn't seem that we have air conditioning in these apartements (which i find totally outlandish). we have a thermostat and i set it to the temp i want it to hover around and it only seems to be a fan that is blowing and that certainly doesn't help. i pretty much keep all the blinds closed. and the house as dark as possible. moving to another apartment is far from feasible for us, terminating our lease early and paying the penalties would kick our butts. i'm getting worried about my small children. is there anything that we can do?

Every time I walk on my lawn, there are hundreds of white flies that come out of it. How do you get rid of them and are they there because of the hot weather?

I noticed that my secondary drain line from my home A/C evaporator coil was dripping, so I went to the attic to check the primary drain. I disconnected the primary drain line and it was wet inside, but water was not backed up in the line and I could easily blow through it.

All seems to be clear, however, the secondary drain outlet is still dripping into the pan. Why is it doing this?

I want to turn my guest room into a dressing room but have a fold-down bed. I'm thinking of having everything hidden behind a wall of light green frosted glass. What do you think? (Honestly)
