I use to use Tide, until I tried Gain. I noticed any stains I had faded, or completely disappeared. Plus Gain smells really good. To each is own, I guess.

I have tried both, and I think that Gain is the better option.
I will say, Tide does a really good job of keeping colors from fading, but I don't think it gets my clothes as clean. I hvae a bright red comforter, and my white sheets often start to look pink after 4 or 5 days. I have washed them with both detergents, and Gain is the only one that can clean them without bleach.
Both are good detergents, though, so I don't think you can go wrong. Good Luck!

Tide.
I've used both quite a bit, and I've found that Tide actually does a better job in all temps of water. I think it cleans a little deeper without the use of laundry boosters like borax.

my mother used tide. i started using cheer because it was a bit cheaper. then i noticed my daughter undershrts starting to become dingy, so i went back to my roots and started using tide. after the first washing, i noticed a difference in the undershirts. now tide is all i use. tide now comes with a color safe bleach, downy and febreze. ive used all three and was very satisfied with each. so, i am definitely a tide user.

I actually prefer Tide Cold Water. All clothes that you would normally wash in warm or hot water...wash them in cold water with this detergent. It really works!! I didn't believe my mom when she told me...then she gave me some and I couldn't believe it! Besides cleaning so well, you save a bundle of money on your electric bill, as your hot water heater isn't going nearly as much. Try it...I'm sure you'll be pleased. :) ~kendra Leigh

I used to apply Cheer because of the fact my epidermis might injury out with Tide. yet considering the fact that Tide got here out with their line of Tide undemanding Pleasures, I switched back and my epidermis is effective. The scent is superb and you will possibly be able to additionally purchase matching liquid fabric softener. Our outfits have been getting sparkling adequate with the cheer, yet they scent lots extra useful with the Tide. i like washing outfits now because of the fact my total residing house fills up with the scent of Lavender and Vanilla Tide undemanding Pleasures. it extremely is great!!
