I was told that moth balls will help. But i tried powdered wolf urine, sounds funny but it scares the dickens out of the rabbits and gophers. It can be bought for about $13. at a live stock supply store or hunting type store...just lightly sprinkel it where the holes are .It does not hurt them they just move to the next yard lol ..It worked no more rabbits eating my flowers.

I have always had good luck with poison grain or pellets down their damned holes. They are quite the pests! ^%@@^%(^)$$
I also, disturb all evidence of their holes and this seems to freak em' out and they go elsewhere.
I like that Wolf powder pee idea though. Gonna have to try that.
I have also used a $40 gopher stake that vibrates every few seconds and that seems to work a bit too. But it's too limited. They just move elsewhere outside of the range of the thing. Plus in the beggining, they tunnel up to the stake to see what it is! That is always encouraging! Ha!

Use human hair to deter them. Dig a hole in some of their burrows and push a wad of hair in it with the handle of the spade. They hate the smell of it and will leave. Other wild things also avoid the area when it is placed around on the ground. (deer, rabbits, raccoon, oppossum etc...

Just yawn and stand up, say in a loud voice, "well it was nice to see you!" and show them to the door.
