When I come home from work there's a strange smell in my lounge, I have a dog but he's not allowed in there. My house is immaculate but I can't detect where it's coming from. Any ideas of how to get rid of it? I've shampooed the carpets etc, tried Oust, Shake and Vac and general air fresheners but it comes back.

In my previous apartment I had pergo floors, and the center was fine. Now it doesn't seem secure, as if it could fall over at any time. The center itself is fine, so it must be the thick carpet. What can I use? Is there some type of mat, similar to an exercise mat for fitness equipment? Or would a piece of linoleum or tile do it?

I have an outdoor kitchen, with a sink, but I have no plumbing outside. All I have is the kitchen countertop with a grill, and a sink with no plumbing. Do they make bladders that I could put under the the countertop directly underneath the sink? I suppose I could just place a few pipes from there to the sink.

Most places want you to buy the entire toilet? Are there any stores? Also, the lid is older so much wider and longer than the newer toilets.

The folks that owned the house before did not do good cleaning.. should one do the air duct cleaning now, or after I throw out the old carpeting in the three (3) rooms.. (this only includes two bedrooms and the living room.. all else is carpet free). How will this benefit our home? Is it worth the money?

I asked a question last night but closed it by accident. If it is bed bugs that are biting me every night, wouldn't i have seen them more than just today. how longs does the spray take to work that the council put down yesterday? could it just be the end of them or should i get the coucil out to spray again. He checked my bed and said you would see the eggs lying in the seams but couldn't see any. I've only just bought new bedding as well a couple of weeks ago to see if that helped, new duvet, pillows etc. Also i have matress protecter on so shouldn't thay not be able to get through that?
Thanks to everyone who replied to my last question.
Also how would i have got them, the bed is only 2 years old and we don't have pets or anything.
thanks
