when i was draining my pool, I saw a tiny thing in my pool that swims around. it looks like a tiny tadpole, but it's not....what is it?

how do you know it's not a tadpole?? Tadpoles look different at different stages of their lives.. and also a tadpole from a toad looks different than a tadpole from a frog and even mosquitos have tadpoles..

It's likely a boatman. It has 2 "oars" out the side of it's body. Common in swimming pools and doesn't bite.
