I have a Hummel ornament that is a ball shape, made out of porcelain, (not glass), and has the Goebel name on the bottom.

I have a Hummel identification and price guide book that shows this ornament with a gold ring-shaped base.

Does anyone know if this base was sold separately?

Where can I get this base?

we have a little mouse in the house, we left the door open during the day for like a week, to give it a chance to leave, but its not going nowhere, so, we have to trap it :-(

but we have tried cheese, penut butter and bacon rhind (all suggested favourites) but he either gets away with the food, or doesnt want it.

any suggestions on what to put on the trap or how to get rid of it?

Can any plant lover tell me if boiled, cooled water is a good enough substitute for rain water when cultivating lime scale-intolerant plants, such as citrus trees and camellias? In the dry summer months, there often is not enough rain to collect. Thanks very much for your help!

So my mother and I are trying to redo a basement and we thought it would be fun to close off part of the basement with shower curtains. Well here is my dilemma: The width of the area we want to close off is 13ft. we found crescent shaped shower curtains on the website listed below but they are for a 5ft. bath so if we bought 3 crescent shaped rods that would be 15ft am I right or does it change the length since there is a crescent shape in the rods? Help please! How many rods do i need and will 3 rods fit? I need to understand the math!?...Confused...

I planted 3 hybrid tea roses about 2 weekends ago. They were cut to just base plants when bought, soaked the roots in water overnight to remove the packing material (as per directions), dug 18" dia by 18" deep holes; created pyramid/cone of soil, spead roots over cone, added loose soil as prescribed so Bud Union was about 1inch above the soil; added 1 tbl rose food to soil; watered in rose; watered every day with soaker hose for 1st week and every other day after that (as per directions).

What has been happening is one is growing new stems well, the other two have one stem each that were present when planting, but the leaves are browning/dieing. What do you recommend?

My mom and step dad are always having problems. He never treats her right. Verbally abusing her, calling her fat and ugly. I know he has a lot of stress because of his stupid messed up kids, but i dont think he should have an excuse for treating her this way. He wont listen to her or to me, but when my brother speaks out against him, he wants a divorce from us. I think it would be good if she left him, and got on with her life, but she says she wants the stability and needs it at her age.... I see them get into aweful fights every month or so, and then just let it blow over. THey always say they will divorce, and then just forget about it and then repeat it all over again. This time it got out of control, and my mom is just going to wait it out for a few months, I think that is a mistake, He has led her to smoke a few times, and feel bad about herself. I know he is a good person deep down, that will be ok in 2 years, when his kids are gone. SHould we have to put up with this?

The house near ours has three apartments, everytime the woman cleans her place she opens the door and has spanish music on the stereo playing LOUD and it's not right that we can't even have a conversation outside our place in our own yard- so what should we do? (we called the police before- but they are so busy they never come for minor calls)

i'm having red spider mite all over my roses,
i read that this red spider mite doesnt like moisture, so if i remove my plants from soil, drown them in the water for about 1-2 hours, will it kills the red spider mite, and the eggs too, or will my rose plants drown to death as well?

It was flourishing about two months ago, and it was so big I had to transplant it. I repotted it in a larger pot that was the next size up. It did fine at first, but for the past couple of weeks it has been losing leaves, especially towards the bottom. The other leaves are wilty looking and very soft. It has plenty of sunlight and the same watering schedule as when it was doing so well. I definitely didn't inherit my grandma's green thumb!
