So my mother and I are trying to redo a basement and we thought it would be fun to close off part of the basement with shower curtains. Well here is my dilemma: The width of the area we want to close off is 13ft. we found crescent shaped shower curtains on the website listed below but they are for a 5ft. bath so if we bought 3 crescent shaped rods that would be 15ft am I right or does it change the length since there is a crescent shape in the rods? Help please! How many rods do i need and will 3 rods fit? I need to understand the math!?...Confused...

Create extra space in your shower with the Cresent Rod™ curved shower rod. The rod curves 3 inches inward at the corners to help prevent leaks and 6 inches outward in the middle for extra space. The rod is perfect for use with oval tubs and uses a standard shower curtain.

Features

Offers extra space and comfort
Curves 3 in inward at the corners to stop leaks
Curves 6 in outward in the middle, beyond the tub's rim, for extra space
For 5-ft standard and oval tubs
Uses regular shower curtain

I want to connect all 3 rods to make an even bigger crescent so will that change the diameter?

Yes that would be 15 ft, because they are made for a 5 foot tub. So the actual length of the rod if it was bent straight would be a little longer than 5 feet. You may find that when you try hooking the rods together that it bends more than you anticipated.

SIDE NOTE:
These crescent type rods tend to be a bit straight at the ends... so I don't know how well joining them together would be.

they fit a 5 ft tub so the distance from one end to the other is five ft. yes if you straiten it out it would be longer
