I do, and it gets WICKED hot during the summer. How do you keep yours cool, and do you pay a lot for power?

I have not lived in one, but we have friends that do. They built theirs out of prestressed panels that have 8" of styrofoam insulation sandwiched between 1/2" osb. The outside is skinned in metal and painted a light gray. They also have a collector near the top of the interior that draws in the warm air and recirculates it around the room. Naturally, they turn this off in the summer.

They tell us it is very economical and I can vouch that it is always comfortable when we visit.

Good luck with your dome.

Geodesic dome homes are a waste of money. You should invest in a "normal" home. It will cost less to building and live in. And you can have A/C! Not sure if you can have A/C in a geodesic dome home or not. It would be hard. They are harder to wire and keep up with. Too expensive.
