It was flourishing about two months ago, and it was so big I had to transplant it. I repotted it in a larger pot that was the next size up. It did fine at first, but for the past couple of weeks it has been losing leaves, especially towards the bottom. The other leaves are wilty looking and very soft. It has plenty of sunlight and the same watering schedule as when it was doing so well. I definitely didn't inherit my grandma's green thumb!

One of two things is going on. You may have planted it too deep and there is root-rot.Or it simply may be in transplant shock.
Root-rot is hard to heal, try and remove as much of the soil around the Base as possible to get it back to the original depth, take a straw and poke holes around the rim of the pot ( you are letting it get some oxygen), place in a sunny window.in two to three day give it a drink of clear soda about 6 ounces (not sugar free) 7up, sprite, or best-carbonated water. This bubbling effect help oxygen to get to the roots ...sounds silly but it works.
Shock is easier to heal, but neither are 100% for sure. Do not feed your plant fertilizer for about 2 weeks. Do not let the soil be soggy. There is a product called root stimulate you can get it at any garden center follow the directions and all should be fine.Keep our of direct sun for a week.

maybe it is in too much of shock cause of the transplanting might as well start over
