I have been sick for 4 days now with a runny nose, congested chest, cough, & a sick feeling all over... : ( Before I call the doctor... What can I take to make me feel better?

Today is my 90 days as non smoker, I quit cold turkey after 27yrs smoking , I went to a very hard withdrawals, I still feel some tension and sometime very tired , doctor is told me will take while , this is normal ?

I haven't been able to have a bowel movement in three days. Tried everything over the counter. Dizzy, nauseous, bloated (my stomach is as hard as a rock) I've tried fiber... EVERYTHING.

Nothing is working. Could this just be my body being weird or can something REAL be wrong? I'm having an anxiety attack.

I've been going to the same pharmacy for years.
I called my doctor yesterday for something and the office manager said she had just received a call from my pharmacy and that they are requiring hard copy refill requests for my drug from now on. No more call ins.

What the hell is this all about?
Any pharmacists or pharmacy techs out here?

It's only the 3rd fill for this drug.

Yesterday I suffered from a fever. next day it went away. later i got a itchy throat and it burned like a mofo. Than I got a cough and then my nose got runny. I think i have a flu but i am wondering is that my body temp. shifts a lot. For five minutes i get extremely hot (where i actually sweat) or extremely cold(where i shake.) is that normal?

this sucks its christmas day! yesterday i felt a sore throat so i drank lots of water and took multi vitamins. Today its the same, maybe a little worst. Runny/stuffy nose watery eyes. What do i do, do i have to let it run its course? can i beat it by today or tomorrow?

these past few days ive been waking up late...last night i went to bed at 3...the reason why is because i cannot sleep..my dad snores too loud..the heaters are loud...my brother plays video games and there is nowhere to sleep...but today i couldnt wake up at all...

ok so on saturday my family friend was over just visiting. This morning she calls us and says her husband is throwing up. I came home from a family dinner today, and found 2 pieces of gum chewed up by my dog. She has done it before so i didnt worry. I then went to midnight mass, and when i came back the dog had thrown up. It wasa brownish color. I noticed that she had just finished all her food. Im thinking it was a combo of the gum and the food, but im just wondering. could she have caught a virus from my family friend. If so...could i get the virus from her? i really dont know
any help would be great...Thanks!!!!

Okay, so this is my problem. Yesterday, my brother went to the store, and got some beer and cheap champagne. He let me have a little of the champagne. When I tasted it, for a moment I to just continue drinking more and more of it. Luckily, the moment passed after a while. So does this mean I will be an Alcoholic when I grow up?

My mom is 49 years old heavy chain-smoking woman.She is on her 4 packs a day habit and increasing it very much. She is inhaling smoke very deeply and says that she needs much smoke to feel ok. I noticed that she often feels dizzy and constantly out of breath, but she says she is fine. She can't control herself at night she wakes up and smokes two or three cigarettes at once and
really deep inhales a lot of smoke. I don't know what's wrong with her. Is she a chain smoker?

Whenever I'm in a session with her she takes out her flask and starts sipping. I asked her what it is and she says something about her being hypoglycemic (sp?) and that she needs to drink something to keep her blood sugar up. She told me that it's iced tea.... but I think she's lying to me.

I've tried smoking once, but i was scared of getting addicted to it so I didnt breathe while i was smoking it. i just sucked air in my mouth and blew it out. I only did it once so ofcourse im not addicted. But if I keep on doing it like that, sucking air in and blowing out, not breathing while smokes in my mouth, or swallowing it. Could I become addicted? I know you can get mouth cancer from that..but Could I become addicted like that?

Well it started a week or so ago at school after lunch..we had hoagies all mine had was different kinds of ham and cheese...about 20 min. later i got this sharp pain under my left breast it lasted for maybe a second and went away... the next few days it was gona but now it came back and it comes a lot more! it s like all over my torso...sometimes in the middle on my sides...under my left breast.....what is it i am really scared....also i am 12 years old and i am average weight and have had no medical problems b4...also i might have high anxiety..i haven't went to a doctor for that but i am always worried..like ALOT..also i have had stomach pains..is it just growing pains?
