they are going to ck my r/ wrist for a scapholunate ligament tear. i understand that they use a contrast injection with the mri to ck blood flow through the hand and wrist to determine any injuries. they are doing this on mon the 26th. of course last night i'm watching tv and a lawyer commercial comes on about mri tests with contrast injections causing a slew of health problems etc. i can't imagine that they have done this test as long as they have if that 's really the case. can someone really in the know tell me the real truth concerning this issue. i really need to have this test done to determine the condition of my wrist- yet i don't want something in me that is going to cause health problems including kidney damage. maybe some attorneys are just trolling for malpractice clients. thanx for all the info.

I'm wonder, is it possible to form a dependency on metal music? What begs me to inquire such is that it gets the blood flowing, and the adrenaline pumping. Now, "thrill seekers" build an addiction for the same reason, the adrenaline. We know that this release can be habit forming. So, if you extend that logic to metal music, would you consider it an addiction?

And, if we consider it an addiction, is it a harmful one? The negative side-effects can include a short-term increase in rage, damaged braincells, and loss of hearing. What's your take on this?

I get a really sharp pain right in the centre of my chest, a little to the left. It lasts for about 5-10 minutes, and during that time I can hardly breathe or move more than a few millimetres because the pain becomes too intense for me (and I can usually deal with pain very well). It goes away almost as quickly as it starts up, and it isn't really affected by eating, laughing or leaning over my laptop for long times. It's happened about 3 times in the last 5 days, each time becoming increasingly painful. I'm 17, and I don't smoke. A friend has suggested chewing an aspirin, but I'm allergic to them. It definitely doesn't feel like heartburn.
People keep telling me to go to the doctors, but I've already been twice in the last month for unrelated things and I don't want to seem like a hypochondriac! What's up?

Its happening more and more lately and I can't take it anymore. We have a 4mth old baby together so it really needs to stop. I've tried to be supportive, I tried to be firm but nothing seems to work. He knows he has a problem and does want to change but can't seem to take those steps. How can I help him? I live in Australia.

All they want is the $20 co-pay. I take them a sick child, and they say "take her home, give her rest, wait 3 days and come back, that will be $20 today." USELESS I TELL YOU. Oh, and when i get tests done, they want me to come back into the office, sit in the waiting room with sick people, sit in the office for 20 minutes, then the doctor comes in and looks at his clipboard and says "Well, the results were negative, have a great day, and don't forget to stop on the way out and pay you $20 copay." Why can't the call, emal, fax, send me a freakin letter and tell me the results???????

why is it that i am having an occasional literaly terrifying dream?, so much so that i wake up abruptly and i can't shake the fear for hours, i am jumpy and scared and feel like i am still in the dream, even when i am dreaming i know that i am dreaming and yell and scream for my fiance to come to me and wake me up, but i really don't make a peep. it scares me and makes me not want to go to bed at night.
are dreams an interpatation of your subconcious? cause if it is that scares me even more, if its no,t why the night terrors?

I need to buy some really strong ear plugs or ear protection/noise reduction of some kind. I have tried the wax ones, Ohropax, supposed to be good, but they did close to nothing for me plus they were messy. I am now wearing some foam ones with SNR 37 and they are also far from satisfying my needs. I've browsed about a bit and it seems the highest protection widely available is SNR 39. That doesn't seem like much of an improvement to me. Please, please tell me there's better out there (and where to find it)! Thank you.
