over the counter medicine can be tricky. you really need to stick to the dose recommendations on the bottle. The vicks vapor rub is used to help open your nasal passages and has nothing to do with the medicine you take orally. What are you trying to accomplish, if you are attempting to open your sinuses then try turning on the hot water on in the shower and letting the bathroom fill up with steam. This will be a temporary fix though, the medicine you took orally should help you to relax and get a better nights rest. You didn't say how long you have been ill, but if the symptoms get any worse you should see your doctor as soon as possible to avoid getting something more serious like, bronchitis or phenmonia. Hope you feel better! Try to get some rest, try to do the shower thing every few hours for about 20 minutes.
DO NOT STICK THE VICS IN YOUR NOSE. IT CAN BURN THE WALLS OF YOUR NOSE AND CAUSE SEVERE ISSUES. READ THE BOTTLE IT TELLS YOU NEVER TO PUT THE VICS IN YOUR NOSE. IT CAN BE DAMAGING TO YOUR SINUS. YOU CAN PLACE IT ABOVE YOUR LIP UNDER YOUR NOSE BUT NOT IN IT.

Read the label. Night quill has a recomended amount you take per a 12 hour span.
Take a little vapor rub and put just a small amount of a finger and place on the outside of nostrils. (helps clear the breathing)

1 has nothing 2 do with the other, s 1 external , other internal . it depends on the cough, if it's a deep barking cough, AND NY QUIL. AND VICKS DON'T HELP,IN A DAY OR SO Sorry 4 caps. I suggest you, go to the drs.its, the time of yr, that dr may, be needed. For the time being get cough drops, and try to take care of your self. Hope you feel better, soon.

To be honest I don't have a lot of faith in a lot of the over the counter medical elixirs. They are usually a very watered down version of of a perscription, so as with something like Aleve, they say you need 2 pills for it to work, when in fact, you really need 4 to get it it to to do its job. This just happens to be one drug that I can name off the top of my head without thinking, so who knows what would come up if I really reallh. I really don't think that either of those two medicines are strong enough to cause you harm if taken together. If you have any worries or doubts there are hot lines you cah always call that are open 24 hrs a day to double check oh medicines. It's set up for people like you who have take 2 different drugs and are worried and don't want to rush to an EF room at a hospital.

A hot bath kills germs, soothes, relaxes and breaks up congestion with warm moisture that does the same for your lungs.
Robitussin is better than 'alcohol' in Nyquil. Do not overdose.
Visit the doctor in case you have flu, bronchitis, infection, or pneumonia... worry about the payment in small bits instead of now. Health comes first.

You should wait for the 4 hour mark just to be on the safe side. The vicks will not interract with the Nyquil but please at least wait for the 4 hour mark, you can over medicate yourself

Even though it's icky, cough syrup is the most effective and fast-acting in my book. Follow the directions to a T on that Nyquil. It can be potent stuff if taken too much/often.

No, dont take any other medications now. Just prop yourself up with some extra pillows and go to bed. Have a cup of herbal tea, or some hot water with lemon in it... but no more Nyquil.

no, it most likely will not effect you in a negetive way however once you take the nyquill, I would lay off the meds for a while and just try to sleep.
