Okay, my son was getting braces treatment for his teeth and in the middle of it, his insurance (Mediciaid, HIP ..whats the difference between them?) was cancelled, but the weird thing is MY insurance is still effective...
I want him to get the insurance as soon as possible because he's still in the middle of treatment and it will permanently damage his teeth if he stop the treatment like this. He still has the braces on him but haven't visit the orthodontist in almost 7 months.

What should i do?

I called HIP, they say to first apply for Mediciaid? (again, whats the difference between HIP and Medicaid?)

How can i do this and as soon as possible...i'm really worried?

I visit local social service and they told me to just apply for HIP and then Medicaid will become effective if HIP starts working again.

But i called HIP, and THEY said to first apply for Medicaid (how????) ...

All help will be appreciated, thanks :)

An eyelash got in my mother's eye and she claims that it went under the upper lid and never came back out. I assured her that between blinking, sleeping, rubbing her eyes to remove eye-makeup, etc. that it would come out eventually. She's paranoid that either A) it'll cause an infection, or B) it's actually stuck on the inside of her eyesocket/brain. I explained the anatomy of the human eye to her, but she's still adamant that I'm wrong. Does anyone know where exactly loose eyelashes in the eye go? Also, I'm right, right? It'll eventually come out (even if she doesn't witness it)? Thanks!

I saw this on an epi of Grey's Anatomy and wasn't sure if it was legitimate. A son donated half of his liver to his sick father and then apparently both pieces regenerated into full, working livers. If this is possible, why don't more people donate liver tissue like they do bone marrow?

I am serious. This has got to happen quite a bit. Are therapists trained to deal with this situation? Males know that it's something that can't be controlled and know that females know it too, but it's embarrassing nonetheless. What do they say in massage school? Hold the jokes. Serious question.

I am a freshman in college and have been smoking now for 5-6 years. I have found that it is depleting my health and is making it very hard for me to work out. It is also a social thing ( your taboo socially if you smoke). I am about to transfer schools and would really like to quit before I go. I have trouble with it though because of stress at school and I smoke when i'm studying or bored. What can I do to quit smoking and still maintain a healthy weight and stress level?

I have a 10, 8 and 2 year old. I was thinking of taking the MA program, now thinking of LPN (see my other question). But which will I be able to handle having 3 kids. My husband rarely helps out, so can't count on that! Can anyone tell me how hard it is. I'm also a little freaked with the "blood work stuff". Will I get over that?

I am very interested in the Medical field, and for months thought I was set on taking the MA coarse. Then a Nurse friend of mine told me to spend the extra money and take the LPN coarse, that I'd make it up in my first year's salary! Which is fine, but now the guy from the MA school just said that they will be phasing LPN's out, that the MA's are taking their jobs. Now I'm like HUH? Is this true? I don't want to take the 11 month coarse (daytime) if I won't have a job in the future? Can anyone help me? Anyone heard of this? Is it just NY? I don't know now what to do!

I don't consider myself an insomniac, just a light sleeper and I can't seem to get my mind turned off. I'm always thinking abt random stuff, not really stressful stuff, that keeps my mind awake when I just want to get to sleep. This is even more sucky when I have to wake up in the middle of the night and I can't get back to sleep. Any help on how I can turn my mind "off"?

Well I didn't bother putting them in their case and put them in my uniform pocket instead, now the frame twisted, I didn't know glasses were so fragile!
Should I try to twist them back into shape myself or do I need to bring them back to the shop?

Apparently when i'm very tired i go slightly cross eyed, soon as I'm told about it I can make my eyes normal. But i can't feel it happening. Is this normal or should i be worried? (Happens rarely and i have good vision, with one eye slightly weaker than other)
