The best thing for this is Eucalyptus leaves which you need to
get off a tree. Pick about 25 leaves, break them up into small
pieces and divide by five...one batch a day for 5 days.
Boil the leaves for l minute, cover and let it steep for about
ten minutes. Cover your head with a towel, remove the lid
and gently lower your head over, breathing in (make sure it's
very warm and not hot steam...may have to let it cool down
a bit. Breathe for about ten minutes as deeply as is comfortable
and repeat each day or more often if necessary. If no E. trees
grow in your area, there are medications out there that use
the same principle i. e. breathing in vapors over a pot...it's
the best technique I've found over the years. Stay well.

I would nip in and see your doctor as you probably need an anti- biotic injection. You are not allergic to anything are you? such as pollen, which can develop breathing difficulties (Hay fever). Your doctor will soon relieve the symptoms for you, so nip in now! Have a good day!

i think you already know the answer, you should see your doctor. if you think it is "just" a sore throat, try to gargle with warm, salty water, that will heal your sore throat.good luck to you!!
