I totally agree with your question. See many gay people, and backed by many scientist, believe they were born gay. This makes them look at religion for answers.

And like everyone, many gay people grow believing in God and religion. In fact, God would have probably been the first one they would have approached begged for help. From that point religion becomes a very important part of their lives and the way they would explain existence and life after death. That peaceful feeling of knowing that by being a good person and never hurting anyone, one day they will be rewarded and see all their loved ones on the otherside is the hard to give up! In fact, it has a very addictive characteristic. One philosopher once said: "You have to be a brave man to say God does not exist!" It is like saying, when you die is like when you switch a TV off in the middle of your favourite movie, and that is that!

Years of growing up learning about religion - some may call it brain washing - is not an easy thing to give up. So they dwell on their religion hoping that somewhere along the line, someone made a mistake. In short, religious homosexuals tend to be good people looking for acceptance. And that does not only apply to people born as gay Christians, but also those born as gay Jews and gay Muslims.

Religion isn't against homosexuals, bigots are & they use their "faith" as an excuse for their predjudice.

I think gay people should avoid organised religion as it is likely to bring them into contact with narrow minded hate filled individuals.

god does not make anyone gay people make there own choice through there own free will
and religion anyone can have but faith is a different thing and scripture is clear on where it stands in this area
so they may worship god as anyone else but are they living his way or theres you cant talk the telk but do you live by you faith if homeseual then you are not living your faith as you are goin g against it by being a practising gay

Few of us follow the dictates of our religions perfectly, or even agree with all the tenets of our religions. Perhaps they agree with their religion in other important areas.

Because religion is faith and belief, and both are personal no matter what others might say or believe!

All true religions should teach and demand both peace and love.
