You would be advised to consult with an allergist about this. The condition you have developed could turn into something nasty.
You don't mention whether cooked bananas do the same.
The risk in continuing to eat these fruits without investigation of the body's response could lead to your throat closing over in response and causing respiratory distress or anaphalctic shock.

If your throat feels itchy when consuming those foods, you probably do have an allergy to them.

Allergy symptoms range from itchiness to angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, etc.) and anaphylaxis. You can always go to an allergist and have them test you for specific items, but that can be costly. Generally, if something causes symptoms of an allergy you are allergic to that item.

Probably the first time you had banana and kiwi, you did not react, which is why you are wondering if this even could be an allergy. That is just the funny way allergies work. The first time you are exposed to a potential allergen, you won't have a major reaction. Instead, your body will create a specific antibody and become sensitized/allergic to that substance.

The good news is that you can get the benefits of these fruits with a multivitamin or various fruits and veggies that you are not allergic to.

It's probably a type of allergic reaction known as OAS or oral allergy syndrome. It simply means that the mouth, throat, and sometimes face react to the foods in an allergic manner, as opposed to a systemic (whole body) reaction. It's very common with fruits and vegetables (especially raw ones). However, it may be a more severe allergy, so it's better to get checked out by an allergist for sure. In the mean time, do not eat those foods. Good luck and I hope this helps and you find some answers soon!

I'm attaching further information about OAS:

This type of allergy could get worse the next time you eat those fruits. Be careful incase your throat starts to swell. Get tested for allergies to these fruits right away. You may need to carry an Epipen with you. - In case you are anaphalactic (your throat closes and you cannot breath). My son is allergic to peanuts and his reactions started like yours - now we have to call 911 if he has a peanut/peanut product and hope we get to the Hospital on time!! It's serious - it's not a joking matter!!

This could be due to the pesticides used on the fruits. If you throat is not closing then it is not that bad. I get really itchy from peaches and nectarines. I start itchy from apples but then my throat closes. Check with a doctor to see if they can do an allergy test.

This sounds like an allergy to me. Those foods are also in the list of foods which cross-react with latex allergies so you might want to look into that. Latex allergies are cumulative so repeated exposure will increase an existing allergy. Watch for bandages, balloons, gloves, stretchy clothing bands, elastics, etc. Here's a webpage that might help; scroll to the bottom for a list of other possible foods. http://www.aafp.org/afp/980101ap/reddy.html
Hope this helps!
