I am eighteen years old and my body has been hurting for many months, probibly over a year. I have been growing and suffering from stress, but the pain has increased over the past few months. The pain also effects my ancles, causing my feet to hurt every time I get up to walk. I have talked to my mom about this and we have disgussed seeing a doctor. Is this pain simply stress and growing pains or something bigger?

I developed mild sciatic pain in the left leg when training for a marathon 2 years ago. I quit running and started lifting weights which brought on sharp, stabbing pain. After 2 days the sharp pain went away, but since that time I get aching, sciatic pain whenever I run, walk or stand for long periods, or ride a bike. I’ve seen chiropractors, doctors, and physical therapists but no one has been able to determine the cause of the pain (they’ve never been able to recreate the pain during an examination by manipulating the SI, pushing on the piriformis, etc). The MRI is inconclusive (grade 1 bulge and slight narrowing of L5-S1, but nothing expected to cause my pain) and cortisone injections of SI joint and L5 provided no relief. The podiatrist says I don’t need orthotics and the doctors have no more suggestions for me.

Has anyone had a similar experience? What could be causing my pain?

I've answered so many pain questions concerning teeth pain, sunburn pain, period cramps, etc. and no one knows the wonders of Ibuprofen. PEOPLE, Ibuprofen dulls the pain. Disclaimer....Make sure you check the bottle for the correct dosage and warnings.

I have a recurring headache in the exact same spot every one to two weeks. They are extremely painful and last only a few seconds. Any ideas as to what the cause is or even where to start looking to figure out what is going on? I have an appointment with my doctor in a few days, but i would like to read up a bit online about it first.

I have frequent headaches and have for a few years now. Sometimes I'll get more than one a day and have at least one a day for a few weeks, other times I go a few weeks without one. My headaches aren't debilitating at all but the weird thing is that they move. It may start out at the front of my head and move to the back or side, anywhere on my head is fair game apparently. There is no consistancy in the type of pain, either. Sometimes it's a throbbing pain other times a sharp pain. My mother also has frequent headaches although hers are debilitating and not as frequent and she's on medicine for them. My dentist suggested that my headaches may be from the alignment of my teeth (my upper and lower teeth rest almost directly on top of each other).

Does anyone recognize what the headaches may be from or how to stop them?

My back constantly cracks, and I have continuous pain in my lower back (near the hip, just above the ***) closer to the right side. I got an x-ray done and nothing came up, I went to a chiropractor for a year and it did nothing. My next step is a CAT scan, anybody have any solutions as to why and how I can change this problem?

I lift weights and exercise alot as well, but this problem began shortly before I actually started working out, but it has just gotten worse since then. It's not a sharp crippling pain, but more of an annoyance. It just concerns me that when I'm not sitting straight for a while, and then (after a while) straighten my back, it crack in the area in which there is usually pain. Similarly, when I purposely crack my back (stretch it from side to side) I get several (about 10) loud cracks out of my back. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a little lower than my stomach. Its not my appendix because thats on your right side. But ya know how bruises are kinda sensitive when you push or poke them? It feels like that, but very minor. Should I excercise? To be honest, the most excersice I do is marching all summer long with band, but I think it might be from not being flexible and not being fit. My daily foods arent looking so healthy either even though i eat grapes and carrots like a crack addict lol. I also get more car sick these days, but I never throw up. Im 12 going on 13 and I need to know whats going on. Give me tips, every idea you can think of, things I should do, sources...just anything is appreciated. Thanks! : ]

My leg cramps mostly cleared up and my dad thought I might have been dehydrated drinking alot of water helped alot and most of the cramps are gone but a little over a day later I still have a dull cramp in my thigh.

Is this just a residual cramp or should I just cave and see my doctor?

None of my symptoms fit a blood clot and I'm not in pain but the leg still feels kinda weird
