Given your allergies - it would also be possible to be allergic to other anti-inflammatory medicines; so best to stay away from medicines like ibuprofen, naprogesic etc... the best ones for you would be paracetamol and codeine - depending on the pain - if its not too bad then paracetamol should do otherwise a combination of paracetamol and codeine should be fine. I would recommend asking your pharmacist or doctor for something like allergies rather than y/a (but you got a pharmacist anyway!)....

Sorry - forgot - in the USA paracetamol is called acetomenophen!!!

Penicillin and Bactrim are for infections, not pain.
There are many, many other pain meds available - try Tylenol and Ibuprofen.
