I have started jogging lately to lose weight and my knees are killing me. Is there anything I can do to help or should I consult a DR? I have been walking/jogging about 5 times a week.

My doctor switched me from percocet to vicodin because the percocet dosn't work for me anymore since I have been taking it for a while.

My question IS :: If my body dosn't feel the percocet anymore why would switching to vicodin be a idea? He said its two differen't chemicals and my body will feel the vicodin since I have never used it before.

Is this A true statement?

I recently found out I was pregnant and my friend who has had a child told me that the only otc pain pill her doctor recommended was acetaminphen free tylenol, now I thought the whole deal with the tylenol brand was that it was acetaminophin, like advil is ibuprofen, etc. Anyway, does such a thing exist? Thank You.

I have to take intramuscular injections with a 22 g needle every week. I've been doing this for about six months and will be continuing to do so for quite some time. When I first started it was easy but then after a few painful experiences it's been getting harder and harder to do. I imagine this big needle going into my leg and it just sucks. What do I do?

I have the aurora starting now...I know the signs (unfortunately).
Thank you!

I currently use prescribed 500 mg of ibprofin but Im afraid im going to fry my kidneys. Indeed I already have had kidney stones. I have used prescribed Naproxen with great improvements in the pain but I would get some stomach upset occasionally.

OTC's aren't strong enough, so please don't recommend anything like that.

Is there any other options.

For about a month now I have been getting random pains. Mostly I get them in my fingers. Lately I have been getting them in my ankles and sometimes my wrists. I also feel them in my shoulders from time to time. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? They only last for maybe a minute, and on a 1-10 scale it is most like a 3, not very painful at all. I was just wondering what someone thought. Thanks!

Hello all, I have asked this before and will ask again, I have also seen my doctor about this but all they want to do is feed me muscle relaxers. My doctor says that my sholder muscles on both sides are 95% of the time tense, and they will not loosen up. I can feel them hard as a rock all day long. It hurts all day everyday and even when i wake up. I have tried massauge but it does nothing for me, except for the time that they are massauging me, but i cant have someone attached to me giving me a massauge all day and night. so what can i do?
i was wondering if acupuncture would work?
nothing i have tired helps except for the muscle relaxers but i dont want to be taking thoes all the time. For them to make me feel better I would have to take one in the AM one in the afternoon and one at night. im only 21 and i dont want to have this forever,.... i am almost to the point to where i wanna go into the doctors and say cut the muscles out.
anyone have suggestions?!!

My sister asked me this and I don't have an answer for her. What would cause severe pain around your navel/waistline? It hurts all the way around to the backside. It lasts for about 5 minutes at a time and then goes away. But last night, it hurt her for about 15 mins. Any ideas?

Sometimes I just suddenly get back pains, I might be walking then suddenly somewhere on my back starts hurting. The only way for the pain to go away is if i lay down. Like today i walked to the couch and the area around my tailbone was hurting, took around half an hour to disapear.
is it likely i have a bad back? also what can you do to take the pain away quickly?

I have had abdominal pain on the left side where my ovary is located for about 3 and 1/2 months now and the doctors have done numerous ultrasounds, urine tests to check for infections, swabs, a ct-scan and just about everything you can think of to diagnose me with something causing my abdominal/pelvic pain. It started in early April 2007 when I was diagnosed with a 4.6cm haemorrhagic cyst which ended up rupturing in the first week of June 2007. I thought the pain was from the cyst and so did my doctor and we thought that the pain would go away but it stayed. My doc recently had another ct-scan and ultrasound done which came back normal and has referred me to a physio therapist as he thought I may have strained a muscle in my back (I have had lower back pain - only left side since early April too). The physio said that I did strain a muscle in the back and have given me light exercises to do. I couldn't do some of the exercises as I had too much pain on my left side (ovary area). I went

I know it was food going down the wrong pipe, which has happened before but not like this time. I was by my self and gasping for air. As this was happening my sides felt like they were going to explode. When I could finally breathe I had tears in my eyes and this discomfort/pain on my sides. It is now 5 hours later and the pain has decreased to a slight discomfort but still ther and that's whay worries me. I just want to know if anyone else has experienced this and is it normal? Thanks all!

I get this pain in the arch of my foot, does anyone know what it is? The pain isn't constant, it just comes out of no where whether I am walking, standing, or sitting. When the pain does occur it happens in quick bursts, it will hurt for a couple seconds then there will be no pain for a couple seconds (the times vary, but the intervals or no more than 10 seconds). These quick intervals of pain only last up to 10 minutes at a time, and it happens 1 - 3 times a day. If you know what it is or anything I can do to reduce the pain then post your answer. Thanks.
