I've been having some health problems and my doctor wants me to have a Nerve Conduction Survey done. He said that it's not a very pleasant test and it will be especially difficult because i'm scared of needles. Has anyone had one done and what was it like? I didn't get specifics because we were discussing some other things and it was on a list of tests i'm getting done but i'm worried about it. Any info would be great.

About a year ago I fell straight on my tailbone rollerblading. I could barley walk or sit or even stand. what ever I did I felt uncomfortable. Over the past year little outbreaks of pain in my tailbone have come and gone. But today The HORRIBLE pain of my very first rollarblading accident has come back. I really need fast, effective remedies. Oh, by the way I am going on vacation in 4 days and I will have to sit on a plane for 4 and a half hours straight so I really need help!

I walk almost every evening. I'm trying to correct my posture. The last couple of nights I've walked with my back straight the way my doc advised me to do, BUT the next morning my upper back is killing me. This never happened when my posture sucked. What could this be? Thanks

When I go to sleep and sit in my bed on one side of my body that side (e.g. with my left ear on the pillow and the other one in the air) that part of the head will start to hurt. It's a feeling like something is gathering up in that part and the pain slowly increases. If I turn on the other side the pain will move but again it will move slowly.

august of 2004 i was in a major auto accident that snapped my ankle in 3 places. I had to have 2 surgeries to correct the breaks. since the accident i have gained about 90 lbs and now am around 400 lbs. My ankle will always give me trouble the dr says and in about 4-5 years arthritis will be so bad that i will need a replacemnt or fusion. I understand that and accept that. But the worse problem is since the accident my lower back tightens up when I walk or bike, It gets so bad that I feeling like crying the pain is so intense. If I sit for 15 minutes or so it goes away but immediatelly come back if I return to the activities. What should I do? It feels muscular in nature. I went to the family doctor and he says to take pain pills and muscle relaxers, but I want to be pain free without drugs like that.

The pain has been in the same spot the entire time. There is no bump, or a bite or anything. It is a throbbing pain, that sometimes goes away for an hour, but comes back. What could this be, and how do I get rid of it?

My left leg is constantly achy...feels tight and tired. There are no obvious signs of edema. It has become an effort to walk, especially in lifting of the foot. There is not significant pain, just extreme fatigue. I do have sciatica in the OTHER leg, and am going for an MRI this week to determine treatment. I've read the sciatica only affects one limb - but could if be a possibility that it is affecting my other 'good' leg? Geez...I HATE getting old (46). Thanks for any ideas. Have a good day.
