after working out, the follwing day my arm and chest are in alot of pain. which makes me not work out for 2-3 days after that. is there something i can do or take to help decreess the pain....

My guess is that you've just started doing weights.I work out 5 times a week n have done since i was 14.when i first started i left the gym with tired and hurting muscles.Remember "NO PAIN NO GAIN" also remember not to over do it as this wont benefit u at all just injure you .Maybe rest 4 longer and never work a muscle thats still hurting eat more eggs n protien rich foods that feed ur muscles. and ignore jeff above.

You may be overdoing it a little. If you have pain that's so bad that you can't exercize for three days, you may need to cut back on the amount of weight you are lifting. Your body needs to adjust, and it is a gradual thing.

Also, make sure that you are properly hydrated. A lack of electrolytes can cause great pain after exercize.

Take some whey protein....helps the muscles repair themselves faster and then you wont feel any pain the next day.....i take it after every work out and havent felt post work out pain in years

you should work different sections different days, upper body on day core the next and so on. This will give your body the needed time to heal the newly formed muscle, and you can still work out this is proven to be the best way to acheive results fast.

believe it or not Caffine really helps with after work out pain.
