The nurse said it was nothing to worry about. I made sure to drink plenty of water beforehand but nothing would come out of my right arm. Finally she got a bit out of my left arm after poking the needle around a few times. Is this a common occurrance or something that I should worry about?

I have a doctors appointment coming up in the next month and my doctor will end up asking me if I am sexually active. I would like to tell the doctor that I have had sex before & tell him not to let my parents know but since I had had sex under 18 could my doctor end up telling my parents?

I was 15 (I'm turing 16 in late December) & my boyfriend was 17 (now 18).
The age of concent in PA is 16. So, would my doctor think this is statutory and have to end up telling my parents thanks to the law?

My father has no idea I have been dating my boyfriend for the past 2 years but my mother knows that we have been dating.

If my parents found out (mainly my dad) they could end up getting my bf a record right?

I would like to talk to my doctor about BC & stuff like that but I dont know if I can trust him not to let my parents in on what we are talking about.

I have been feeling really ill the past few days, i am not sure tho if it is just a cold or if i should see my doctor..... I started to get a bit wheezy on saturday but this seemed to subside once i got some fresh air. I then started to feel really drowsy on saturday night so i went to bed and woke up a few hours later with a burning fever and soaked through with sweat, yet i felt really cold and was dithering. The fever seems to have come from no-where. I am now going hot/cold every few minutes, my nose is streaming, i have a really chesty cough, my eyes ache and i seem to have an ear infection as my ears and the back of my head and my neck really ache, along with my muscles, i just feel really tired all the time. What do you think it could be and do you think i should see my doctor or just wait for it to pass? I have also been taking paracetamol and benilyn but this has no real effect......Thanks for any suggestions x

I was thinking of doing this tomorrow. Going in and taking them off and leaving them under a chair and going in socks the whole time I'm there. Has anyone else ever done this or do you think this is a good idea?

I've been working as a CNA for the past three years, and I noticed that people tend to get this rattle in their chest as they get close to death. My best guess is its fluid build up from heart failure, but really I have no clue. Anyone know why?

I'm considering hearing aids and I was wondering what the whole experience is like. Tell me everything from the test to actually wearing them and hearing with them. How did people react when you first got them? How do you talk on the phone? Thanks!

Whenever I have to sit for an extended period of time not doing anything I get so tired and I struggle to keep my eyes open. This is especially embarassing when I'm in a meeting, mind you. I have a reasonable diet, I'm moderately active and for obvious reasons I have to get up and walk around every 20 minutes when I'm at work. I don't think I have narcolepsy....and I definitely don't fall asleep behind the wheel. I average 6-7 hours of sleep. Could I be deprived of certain nurtients or should I just get to bed sooner?

My mother, who for years has enjoyed a daily banana each morning ,is now worried that her new potassium sparing diuretic has a recommendation not to eat bananas, raisins, prunes. Would a single banana be harmful on a daily basis? She finds its 'helpful' for her daily bowel routine.

I have a dr appointment at 2:30...I am just curious as to what this might be. It does not hurt. Just when I swallow I can feel it. The lump looks like a zit full of puss. Yesturday I noticed it but it wasnt that big.. so I came home and brushed my teeth and garelled with listereen. I got in the shower this morning and noticed it was bigger then yesturday so I made a dr appointment. Could this be a cold sore?

I'm looking to quite but I really don't want to get a patch, or some gum and cold turkey just isn't catching on. I need something that both me and my fiance can use to help out. These look promising, they are not that expensive and I was wondering if anyone had an input or opinions or even used the product. Your help is greatly appreciated!

I've got a very swollen knee and it's starting to swell on the thigh above it now. It's been like this for 2 days. I went to the ER and he is very concerned that there could be a MRSA staph infection in there. I have MRSA and have sores elsewhere. My knee hurts so bad! He gave me Darvocet which is like a joke for this pain. He wanted to do an aspiration where he draws out fluid to check to see if it MRSA. I guee that this also will relieve the pressure too and make it less painful afterwards, right? I am just so terrified of those numbing needles. The knee is so sensitive and I know it'll hurt really bad. I couldn't do it so he gave me antibiotics and told me to come back if it didn't improve. Well, now it's a bit worse. I don't have a fever though. The pain is much worse as well. He said he could give me a pill that would kind of knock me out for the procedure and I wouldn't remember much. I know I sound like a big baby. Should I go today? How serious could this be?
