Are there any claimable benefit including getting a blue badge of you are in work?

I suffer a debilitating back problem but fight through the pain to keep myself working but I wondered if there was any help or support for people in work?

I live in Scotland

Yes, you should be able to get some level of Disability Living Allowance. There are 2 components - care and mobility.

Hello my friend super question and here we go with an answer fresh from the horses mouth. I have just gone back to work (hooray) after being on incapacity benefit for ages. I claim disability living allowance and can still get it even though I'm working. There are three rates for the care section and two for the mobility section, if you are awarded the highest rates you can expect around £400 a month BUT it is very unlikely that you will qualify for the high rate. As for the blue badge you can apply to your local authority for one back your application with a letter from you doctor.

DLA is available including a blue badge for anyone with a disibility that impairs them from walking for a certain distance as determined by the disibility act ...It is also against the Employment act to discriminate against the disabled in the workplace so it is posible to be in employment And recieve DLA

Do back bends , and lift weights 20 lbs from the floor to the celing 20 times , do 3 sets of twenty each day ,, when you have these done with ease two or three weeks, do 25 lbs , your back problems will be history by this point , that is if you have a desire to get well ,,,

yes you need a note from your doc to say that you would benefit from a blue badge ,and get yourself down to the cib there is a lot of help for disabled folk like us to stay in the work place
