OK, Friday afternoon I went out to eat at Hooters (Oooh, yes, HOOTERS) and had a hamburger cooked rare. Before I went to bed that night, I started to throw up. Could it have been the burger? Or is it something else, like the flu? I haven't thrown up all day...and I'm starving. Is it OK to eat something big, like a meal, or should I give it a couple of days and just continue on eating crackers? Thanks!

Pain on the right side of the abdomen somewhat right in the middle on the ride but moves a little down farther. Sometimes the pain goes to the bellybutton region either way it's been hurting like this all of a sudden for several hours. I've been nauseated for about a week now and I have phenegran gel so I don't know if that has anything to do with this. I vomited twice Monday and had diarrhea Wednesday so I don't know But it hurts really bad.

No fever as of now and I've only had one bowel movement today and was pretty much normal.

So here is what happen. I took my three year old son to his new doctor for his three year old checkup.Everything was good but he was due to have a TB (tuberculosis) test.Well the doctor came in with the needle to inject under his skin. She did not bring any help and my son ripped the needle out of his arm so she preceeded to jam it back into him.Well I took him back two days later because he had a bump. She said the test was positive and he needed xrays. He had xrays that came back clear.Well she tells me he needs nine months of antibiotics as a 'precautionary measure' she also told me not to let anyone else test him.I found it fishy and took him for a second opinion. He had a new test which was negative. So I almost gave my three year old nine months of harsh antibiotics because a doctor didn't do things properly.

I am 19 years old. When I was about 16 I found a fairly large, hard lump right beneath my right ear. it scared me a lot! so i went to the doctor and had him take a look. he said it was swollen lymph nodes and not to worry. it went down eventually, and it never hurts. for the past couple of years it gets big/hard and then very small/soft off and on again- i especially feel it a bit sore when the weather changes or i am under stress.

i noticed it swelled again today and was wondering if i should go to the doctor again. or is this something i should just deal with? thanks!

Today my hubby and I hiked up a hill that was pretty steep in parts. It took about 35 minutes to get to the top. About 2/3 of the way up I had to stop and catch my breath because I was finding it VERY hard to breathe because we were already at a higher elevation, 3300 feet, and hiked to an elevation of around 4000 feet.
Anyway, once I got to the top I was finally able to catch my breath, and had to do some coughing to clear my lungs.
Well, it's almost 11:00 at night now and my lungs still hurt a little if I take a deep breath. Also, I'm still coughing up a little phlegm every now and then. Is this normal? I don't usually have the cough for this long. Also, when I was hiking, my mouth tasted a little metallic, so I looked at a bit of my spit because I was afraid there might be blood in it, but there wasn't. Also, it was a little chilly; probably around 50 degrees or so. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks! :)

My cousin went for a checkup cause she wasn't feeling well and she found out her blood sugar was 181. The doc just told her to drop a few pounds and watch the amount of sugar she eats. He didin't put her on medication which sort of suprised me. Isn't a 181 blood sugar level a cause for medicine or not?

ever since i was teen, i've always gotten swollen glands. now in my 20's the gland inside left side of neck keeps getting sore and causing mild headaches. if i press mid way down my neck with 2 fingers i can feel a sore 'spot.' the spot is also sore when i turn my head left or right. my doc keeps giving me meds (like antibiotic), and the pain goes away then comes back months later and repeat.....last time she said it was a gland pressing against my tonsil or something like that.

what is causing this?

how can I get rid of it?

why does the soreness in gland or tonsil go away for a few months then return and repeating?

is the pain from a gland or a tonsil in neck?
