Medical care is big business and the pharmaceutical companies here in the US have their influences on politicians (kick-backs, a little extra spending cash, favors, etc).

Just like a cure for the common cold. If one is ever developed, its doubtful the news will break surface. Too much money is being made off our ailments and sufferings. Next to being an oil-baron, pharmaceuticals is where its at.

No. The pharmaceutical companies own the government. They have paid the Repubs off so that there is no way we can get decent health care. The prices on meds are already sky high and they will go higher.

Something has to give. It seems ridiculous that in a country of such wealth so many people go without health care. Not to mention dental and vision care.
