Other - General Health Care - October 2006

I recently submitted an electronic application for my State of Texas EMS certification. Within a couple weeks my name was posted and my certification was valid. Now my name is showing "pending-deficies". I am unable to work and can not contact anyone through the state as to why I am having this problem or how to eraticate it. i have met a doctor who told me it is indigestion of food. He advised me to take a lot of fruits,water and eat regularly but after all this i still notice this odour especially after taking cabonated drinks.pls i need help to solve my problem. Thanks

Every morning I wake up fine but then by lunch time I seem to have this build up in my chest. It sometimes feels like there is something in my throat. By dinner or thereafter I feel so much bloating in my chest and the need to burp is so great. I can feel it building. By the time I'm going to bed my mouth is watering excesevly and I'm awaken in the night by a "choking" feeling and coughing. Any ideas?

My brother works in a BPO (call center) coz the pay is good, but I am worried...should he quit these night shifts? he is only 22 years old n is complaining of pain in the knees..also weak eye-sight...Please advise, I will appreciate your valued answers.

I have a throbbing pain on the right side of my jaw above and below it as well to my upper neck and ear and eye for the past few days. The pain keeps me up at night and I wish I could just knock myself out. I thought maybe I was flossing too hard before bed so I tried doing that in the morning. I'm worrying that I have a tumor from gum disease, a stroke (both my grandfathers died of heart disease), or MS.

I know this sounds strange, But if I don't drink the beers, I will toss and turn all night, and If I do get to sleep, I only sleep for about 4 hours and am usless the next day....tired.

So i'm at work cashiering and all, then all of a sudden i start to feel really out of it. It's hard to explain the feeling, just really out of it and hard to concentrate, or kinda like i was gonna pass out. It's the same feeling i would get after staying up 24 hours (although that's not the issue). I asked the front-end manager for some chocolate cause i thought it might be my blood sugar but that didn't help too much. Perhaps it's a blood pressure problem? What could the problem be?

I've noticed my 14 year old son has this habit. I've spoken to his doctor about it and he reassured me that many children do this, and although not a particulary attractive habit, is not a bad thing. He said that many children never break the habit and bring it into adulthood with them, never telling even their spouses. Is this true?

I have such a hard time getting to sleep (hence I am here in the middle of the night!) My ideal environment for sleeping is dark, absolutely silent. This is not realistic at my home, lol.
I hate taking sleeping pills. What is a tried and true bedtime ritual/routine/habit that helps? I am tired of being tired!
I have tried...
TV, radio, reading. All of these keep me up.

I will have to get septoplasty in the future due to my deviated septum. And I was wondering weather I should have a ENT doctor perform a septoplasty and rhinoplasty. Or a plastic surgeon to do this. Keep in mind if I go with a ENT my health insurance would cover the hospital fees/anesthesia and septoplasty operation but not the rhinoplasty. If I go with a plastic surgeon my health insurance would probably cover none since its not in the network.

Do most ENTs do frequent rhinoplasty to fix broken or crooked noses due to accidents?

If a person has lost every shred of dignity and wants to go, why shouldn't they be allowed? We put animals down for less. If it is supervised by at least 3 or 4 independent doctors who have decreed the person able to make up their own mind, should they be allowed to go in a quick, painless and dignified way?

do u have any ideas how 2 control anger!!
i just can't control my anger!!
the only way i get relaxed is by hitting something!
like 2day i just hit my friend coz he made me a little angry!
i can't control it and my friends and family is telling me 2 control it!
but i don't know how!!!!
