Hi I have the same problem that you are having, I don't work, but i am a mother of six children and i also babysit for my grandson.
I am diabetic, have high cholesterol, had three toes removed, am on anti depressants and I also have poor eyesight.
I took up darts one night a week, i have a good laugh a couple of drinks (diet coke) and our team won the summer league darts.
I also listen to my music and play my keyboard.
It is very important that you find an hour a day at least to relax and unwind, I like to relax in a bath with Lavender oil, which is a great relaxant before going to bed.

Run a nice bath, candles and bubble bath to create a gentle atmosphere and for pampering. If you can take a glass of wine in with you, failing that a cup of tea. You can then just relax, make sure the door is locked if the kids are up or that they are in bed.
If you dont like the quiet you could take a magazine/book in or a radio/cd.
An other half could scubb your back?!

If you have a favourite Comedian buy or rent a video and have a laugh. It's good for the soul! Or you could invite a (cheerful) friend around for a snack, drink and general moan. Put the children to bed early, take some time out and read a good book (you can buy lots cheaply from Charity shops). Give yourself a set time for studying - and stick to it!

Ride a bike really fast for about half an hour. The release of endorphins is great and there are the added benefits of fresh air and exercise. I find I can always think with greater clarity after a bike ride.

Run a bath, pour something nice and smelly in, put some soothing music on, light some candles, turn off the light. LOCK THE DOOR. Get in the bath, close your eyes and relax. Its advisable to attempt this when the children are asleep!

I find exercise to be the best way of unwinding, though fitting this into your life might be tricky!

Evaluate your life and see if it really IS worth either having a full time job or doing a degree! Your children should always come first and if you're stressed you won't be doing them any good!
