Acid peptic disease or heartburn is very common. You need self discipline so that you will improve. Start with small frequent feedings! Avoid sour & spicy foods temporarily. Avoid softdrinks, coffee, milk, alcohol. Drink water it is good for you! Too much stress can also add up to this.
Better consult your doctor, he will give any of the following: antacids, H2 receptor blocker or proton pump inhibitors. You should take the medication as prescribed & dont stop it even when your abdominal pain subsides. There is a time frame when these medications work & to allow acid to lessen. Avoid skipping meals. Have breakfast, lunch, dinner & 2 snacks. Snacks can be simple crackers & water. Traffic & too much isnt an excuse for skipping meals. You can bring crackers with you!

Well, coffee is pretty acidic, but you didn't say coffee specifically, just "caffeine."
When I have heartburn I try to sit up in bed, have some yogurt, or maybe take some over-the-counter heartburn medicine. You might want to ask yourself if you've been eating especially acidic or spicy foods (ie stuff that you wouldn't eat while you had the flu) or if you may have had too much fatty food or just plain too much food.
I also like that drinkable yogurt, that seems to help too. Maybe you could put more milk in your coffee or drink less too.

Get checked for reflux. That's when stomach acid comes into your esophagus. It hurts and it can cause a condition that sometimes leads to cancer. Coffee is one of the things they make you give up if it's reflux. No caffeine or pop, and eating 6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.

I would go and get this checked out. Too much heartburn might be the sign of high cholesterol. Have your cholesterol levels checked out.

You will probably be better off taking multiple digestive enzymes one to three times daily and drinking fluids before or after meals...not during..AVOID CAFFEINE.
consult a good health food advisor.
GOOD LUCK
