This is troubling. I do NOT believe it is sleep apnea as I do not have this after I fall asleep. This strange thing only occurs PRIOR to falling asleep...as I am starting to drift off to sleep. (I've had a sleep study done a few years ago but did not have (any) the night I had the sleep study. I do intend to repeat one though.)...what happens is as I fall asleep I feel this "clunk" like feeling in my brain and it JOLTS me "awake" even though I have not fallen asleep and I gasp for air. It is VERY TROUBLING. Some nights it happens only once....sometimes 5 or 6 times. I wondered if it was because my body was going into too deep of a sleep too fast for my brain? Sounds weird. My hubby and I nicknamed it "brain flips". Has anyone else had this? How did you stop it? Did they find out what this was? Again...I am in doubt that it is sleep apnea because once I fall asleep it does not happen.

I've heard that you should replace your contact case every 2-3 months to prevent bacteria from growing inside your contact case.

I understand the concept, but it is really necessary? Let me know what you think!! Thanks!

I'm moving to Minneapolis in 3 weeks. I'm disabled and live on SSDI (bad back). Does anyone know about any programs I could look into that provide any kind of benefits for the disabled there? For instance, here in Colorado there is an Adult Home Care Program for ppl. who have trouble doing housework or caring for themselves. The program provides a person to come in for a certain number of hours per week and clean, perhaps cook, etc. This particular program runs thru Medicaid, so I got Medicaid because of the program. Now that I am moving and leaving the program, I lose my Medicaid, too! Anyone know about this stuff? Also, does anyone know of a discounted dental program for ppl. with no money or disabilities? Thank you, A. Randall

I'm just curious what works for others when he/she has a cold. Some people swear by what works for them. It doesn't matter if it's alternative medicine, homemade/ family remedy; it can be anything that has helped you. Would anyone like to share what has helped them?

It was really amazing. like the sound of a really soft air valve with air tightness being created to make the sound. Alexander technique might help with this - i.e. good posture so you can listen back. Don't even think about it just do it and it litens to its head. I think this is amazing.

Whilst flitting under a yew tree a branch pinged in my eye and it feels as though i have a piece of something in it. Lots of watering and blurred vision. Can't see straight never mind fly straight. Any ideas? (Nothing to see, but then I did ask a goblin...)
