It was really amazing. like the sound of a really soft air valve with air tightness being created to make the sound. Alexander technique might help with this - i.e. good posture so you can listen back. Don't even think about it just do it and it litens to its head. I think this is amazing.

I believe the heart is a living thing thing 2. There should be no problems if you communicate regularly with it. i really loved hearing the leaflets opening and closing when I heard it. It was young but strong - fairly gratifying as you can imagine. What shocked me was its regularity but I suppose thats what a pace maker is . an artform to itself. Peace out maker.

It was wierd in hardly anyway at all. I was in faint wonder at being able to think about it like this. Do you think they'd let us?

That is :-)

Yeah I can, I had a Aortic valve replacement op in 1984 and have had a lot of problems over the years getting to sleep because of it as I lie awake listening to it.

Also if I'm in a really quiet room people a few feet away can hear it, not really a party piece but people find it interesting.

I hear mine all the time. Then again, I had an aortic valve replacement due to an infection. My new one is plastic and I hear the clicking of the "leaflets" continuously. I sound like an old wind up timex watch.

Never heard it beating, but I often feel it beating. I know that sounds quite obvious, but I often feel the individual beats and am very aware of it beating, even without exercising and stuff. It probably also heps that I have a heart murmur. It's nice to feel, it proves that I'm still alive! Hurrah! Always a bonus!

Yes I have when I had my ECG and I cant say that I enjoyed it either, but then that is probably because I have a problem, so it makes it more scary.
